Forehead/Brow Lift New Jersey
A forehead lift is intended to restore a more youthful, refreshed look to the upper face. This procedure will correct drooping brows and improve the horizontal lines and furrows on your forehead which can lead to a tired, angry or sad appearance. It is frequently performed with an upper lid blepharoplasty and can be performed with a face lift to provide facial balance and harmony. The goal of the procedure is to raise the brow to a more aesthetically appealing position. It will also improve fullness over the outside corner of the lid that is sometimes mistaken for a droopy lid. The goal is to create facial harmony not an excessively high brow. Dr. Friedlander will show you potential areas of benefit during your consultation. Several different approaches may be used, but Dr. Friedlander prefers to use an incision in the lateral scalp which can be incorporated into a face lift. The specific approach will be customized to your needs. The muscles will be weakened and the skin tightened, elevating the brow. There may be some postoperative swelling or bruising, which resolves relatively quickly. You may feel a ridge in the hair for several weeks. Sutures or staples are removed after 7-10 days. You are able to return to work in a week if no other surgery is being performed. |
