A Dynamic Aging Solution

Facial expressions have the power to tell others what we are feeling without us having to come right out and say it. The muscles beneath the skin move to show happiness, surprise, anger, sadness, fear, and more. Unfortunately, dynamic wrinkles like laugh lines, smile lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines form when we show these emotions. Over time with repeated movements, these wrinkles and lines become etched into the skin and are visible even when we aren’t making an expression.

Some parts of our face seem to age more quickly than others. This can be due to genetics, environment, or simply the repetitive movements our faces go through on a daily basis. Some fillers can’t keep up with dynamic wrinkle correction because constant facial movement quickly depletes the effectiveness of the filler. With RHA Fillers New Jersey clients of Dr. Bev's have a durable and strong formulation as an effective solution.

What is the RHA Collection of fillers?

Beverly Friedlander, MD

The RHA Collection of dermal fillers are made of resilient hyaluronic acid that is injected and beautifully integrates into the skin. HA is a biocompatible substance that adds volume, moisture, and vibrancy to the skin to correct signs of aging. RHA fillers do all this and build on it further. RHA is the abbreviation for resilient hyaluronic acid. These types of fillers are more resistant to facial movement because of the density of the gel, so the results last longer than other dermal filler options that are more susceptible to breakdown with movement. With RHA fillers, you can enjoy life without worrying about what your emotions are doing to your face. The RHA Collection consists of a series of RHA fillers with different gel densities. Each one is designed to treat a specific concern and area of the face with very natural-looking results.

RHA Redensity

Redensity is highly effective for fine lines and dynamic wrinkles around the lips. It provides subtle improvement for wrinkled lips without adding volume, helping them to look smooth and youthful.

RHA 2

RHA 2 is great for a smoother skin surface, moderate wrinkles, crow’s feet, and lip enhancement.

RHA 3

For deeper dynamic wrinkles, RHA 3 is a potent option and can reverse nasolabial folds, mouth corner wrinkles, and other deep creases.

RHA 4

While it is useful for deep wrinkles as well, RHA 4 is often chosen to add volume to hollow areas in the face and even provide some contouring to smooth and refine the shape of the face.

Am I a Candidate for RHA fillers?

Have you recently noticed your frown and smile lines not going away? If so, you may be a candidate for RHA fillers. RHA fillers are beneficial for people who want to prevent or reduce the appearance of dynamic facial wrinkles. Since RHA fillers are low-risk, most patients in good health are great candidates for this treatment. If you have any bleeding disorders or are sensitive to lidocaine, you may need to seek an alternative option.

Those who want to enhance their facial contours and the size and shape of their lips may also be candidates. Patients receiving RHA injectable treatment should be in generally good health and have realistic expectations of the results. It is recommended that RHA filler patients be at least 22 years old and experience mild to moderate facial aging. A consultation with Dr. Friedlander can determine if RHA fillers are right for you.

What can RHA fillers treat?

We all develop wrinkles at different speeds and in different areas of our face. The RHA Collection offers various RHA fillers to fit your needs.

In terms of dynamic facial fillers, the RHA collection can do it all. If you are looking to reverse signs of aging in the face anywhere, at nearly any stage, and want something that will last, RHA fillers are a great option. These fillers can address the following concerns:

Moderate upper face wrinkles

If you are suffering from moderate wrinkles on your upper face, such as forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet, you may benefit from RHA® 2. This injectable treats the wrinkles often caused by frowning and laughing.

Lip volume and shape

Patients with thin or undefined lips can benefit from RHA® 2. This RHA injectable can enhance the contour and volume of the lips. This is also a great area to consider RHA Redensity as it can smooth your lips and provide definition without fear of adding volume.

Deep facial wrinkles

Over time, people can develop deep wrinkles as a result of repeated facial movement. RHA® 3 is used to treat deep, set-in wrinkles, such as marionette lines, nasolabial folds, and other severe lines and creases.

Loss of volume

In addition to gaining wrinkles and lines, our face can actually lose volume over time. RHA® 3 and RHA® 4 provide volume to augment the cheeks and other facial contours. These RHA injectables add volume while improving the shape of the patient’s face.

Consultation and Preparation

Your consultation will include an examination of your skin, a review of your health history, and a discussion about your particular aesthetic goals. We want to get to know our patients and their preferences and be totally sure that each patient receives the best, customized treatment for them. Once we have decided on a treatment plan, we will provide all necessary details on scheduling and preparation.

Procedure

At your appointment, we will begin by applying a topical numbing cream and then administering the RHA injections in the predetermined areas. Most RHA fillers contain a small amount of lidocaine in the serum for added comfort. A session usually only takes around 15 to 30 minutes.

Some immediate improvements will be visible, but final outcomes are typically revealed around two to four weeks. Most of our Short Hills RHA Filler patients see results for as long as 12 to 15 months.

You may experience mild swelling and redness that will resolve within a few hours or a day at the most. As with all filler treatments, refrain from touching and massaging the treated area. Lumps or bumps are very uncommon filler side effects. If you notice them, please call Dr. Friedlander’s office to see if you need to come in for a reassessment.
